![]() ![]() I haven't tried to add any events on T/L yet (am having issues with clearing reminders that keep popping up and slowing things down, which I'm going to investigate next) but even though it's possible in T/L to unclick "read-only" in the calendar's properties (right-click), a little lock keeps reappearing beside some of the calendars on my list so I'm not really expecting to be able to do so.Īfter all you find on the web is only half the truth, here's the real deal: Publicly subscribed calendars are supposed to be read-only. Repeat for each calendar you want to view in Thunderbird/Lightning. Select the colour and update frequency that you want. For "Format" select "iCalendar (ICS) and paste the sharing URL from #4 into the "Location" box. Create the calendar "On the Network" and click "Next".ħ. (File->New->Calendar or just right-click an existing calendar and select "New Calendar" from the pop-up menu.)Ħ. Go to Thunderbird/Lightning and create a new calendar. Once we hit the “Syncronize now” button the process starts and after some time the calenders and contacts will show up in Thunderbird.I found the solution yesterday after trying the methods mentioned here and in a couple of other places.ġ. We now have to enable the profile and select the items we want to synchronize. Now we can enter the username and the generated password in Thunderbird.įinish the configuration. Login into the iCloud account.įollow the wizard and create the password. Select iCloud from the server profile list.įor the configuration, we need an app specific password. Once this is done, we repeat the process. We just click the link and install the addon as well. ![]() In most cases, you will get an error message, that the provider is missing. We add a new account, selecting “CalDAV & CardDAV” sync. To synchronize, we install the addon “TbSync” in Thunderbird.Īfter the installation, we find the addon in the “Tools” menu. ![]()
